I tended to set aside bills, junk mail, and important papers into one big pile. Lynn patiently helped me organize, taught me how to keep up with my bills and paperwork, and gave me the confidence to continue on my own. Shelly Berson |
Frequently Asked QuestionsQ. How long will it take to organize a room?A. Most projects will be finished in 2 to 6 hours, depending on the size of the room. Q. Do I need to be present to help you work?A. You are certainly welcome to participate in the organizing process. It will be to your advantage to take part by prioritizing, and choosing which new organizing systems will work best for you. Q. Why get help from a professional organizer?A. Clutter can sneak up on anyone, especially in the wake of major life events. Marriage or divorce, deciding to work from home, moving, and downsizing can cause havoc to systems that used to run smoothly. A professional organizer can provide an objective view of the situation, provide motivation, and complete tasks efficiently and quickly. Q. How does professional organizing work?A. I will begin by scheduling a Needs Assessment at your home. Once we have discussed your needs and expectations, I will offer you solutions ranging from a one-time organizing session, or periodic sessions to help you stay organized, along with my fee estimate. Q. Will you make me throw things away?A. Remember, I will be working for you. That means that you will make any decisions to keep or toss things. I’ll be there to guide you, ask the right questions, and let you know your options. Q. Should I buy storage units before we start?A. No, please don’t! We need to understand your needs first. One of the many reasons people fail at organizing is that they run out and buy a bunch of containers before assessing their situation. I will be able to save you time and money. |
